Welcome to Stevenson Elementary School's Library Media Center




          Welcome to the Stevenson Elementary School media center.  When school is in session, the library is open on Monday - Friday (7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.). Our library provides intellectual access to information and ideas for 21st Century learning. The media center offers intellectual access by providing opportunity to use the following....Star Reading program, Accelerated Reader program, Alabama Virtual Library, use of Promethean equipment, digital projectors, Internet access, and digital signage. Physical access to information and resources for learning is available. Resources for learning are provided in the following formats.....dvds, vhs, fiction/nonfiction texts, audio cassettes, encyclopedia (text/digital), computers, Active Slate, video, and dictionaries.  The following is provided: flexible, open access to archieved, current, and new resources to meet the learning needs of the school community.  Access to archieved periodicals and new reading materials are also available for viewing or checkout throughout the day and school year for students and teachers. This opportunity is given within a fixed and flexible schedule timeframe.





Thank you to everyone who purchased from our book fair. It was one of the most successful ever at SES. Thanks so much to all of the parents, grandparents, teachers, and students. Every purchase helps our students!!

We just had our second Scholastic book fair for the year. Thank you to everyone that helped support our library and school.

Student point accumulation for the AR trip (grades 1-4) ends May 1, 2017.




   As of February 2017, we have checked out 22,359 materials this year.  Keep up the good work.  Let's beat our record!!
